f138
My first car with a construction report - let's take a look!
The F138 was built mostly with 1 mm cardboard. I started with the floorand gradually built the cockpit and nosecone around it. For the first time, I used carbon fibre textures. Then, in rather rough fashion, I added the engine area, consisting of cardboard ribs, followed by the simple, one block gearbox. The sidepods and engine cover, in old fashion, were modelled with aluminium foil and newspaper pieces. Then, everything received a coat of paint.

The front wing and turning vanes follwed. Then came the weakest part of the car - the suspension. It was bad, because I hadn't taken the time to learn how a suspension works. So it was ugly and weak. I mounted the tires, then coated everything with varnish. Finally, I mounted the rear wing, TV cameras and mirrors. The car was ready for stickering.
The F138 was ready in pretty much 10 days. A simple model, but sill a step forward.
